Help with NHS costs

If you are registered with a GP in Wales you are entitled to free prescriptions from a pharmacist in Wales. You might be also be able to get free dental treatment, eye tests and help with other NHS costs. Check what help you could get.

Community Advice and Listening Line C.A.L.L. Helpline

The C.A.L.L. Helpline is a dedicated mental health helpline. It provides confidential support to help you find support available in your local area.

GP and local mental health support

Find your closest GP surgery or get local mental health support from Hywel Dda University Health Board.

NHS urgent mental health helplines

If you need help for a mental health crisis or emergency, you should get immediate expert advice and assessment. Dial 111 and select option 2 for the NHS urgent mental health helpline.

NHS dental care

Find an NHS dentist near you or visit Hywel Dda University Health Board if you need their emergency dental service.

Mind Pembrokeshire

Mind is your local mental health charity, providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem including The Sanctuary for evening and night time crisis support.

Community Connectors

Pembrokeshire's Community Connectors can put you in touch with people, groups and activities that are right for you and your family. They have some specialist Connectors too: one who specialises in working with children, young people and families and another who is focused on supporting people with dementia and their families.

The Samaritans

Whatever you're going through, call The Samaritans free, any time, from any phone, on 116 123.

Circles of support

This is a new exciting pilot project that is all about working alongside people to build supportive circles, which offer friendship, community, voice and control.

Live Fear Free

Live Fear Free is open 24/7 and provides easy to access, confidential information and advice to all victims and survivors of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence and those close to them. It is free and will not show up on phone bills.

Alzheimer’s Society

The Alzheimer’s Society runs a number of dementia services around the county, such as Dementia Cafes, Singing for the Brain, activity groups, befriending service, support groups, and more.

Age Cymru Advice

Age Cymru Advice offer free, confidential and impartial support services. They can help older people, their families, friends, carers and professionals with information and advice on matters affecting older people.

Care and Repair Cymru

Care and Repair provides information, advice and practical services that help older people in Wales stay safe, warm and well at home. Even if you think that you do not ordinarily qualify for financial support, you could now be eligible for some help with day-to-day living costs.

Walking in Pembrokeshire

Walking is a great way to improve your wellbeing. There are many great walking routes around the County, plus you can walk your way to a healthier life with West Wales Walking for Wellbeing.
