Benefits calculators

- Pension Credit: gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income.
- Attendance Allowance: helps with extra costs if you have a disability severe enough that you need someone to help look after you.
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP): help with extra living costs if you have both a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability, and have difficulty doing certain everyday tasks or getting around because of your condition.

Winter fuel payment
If you were born before 26 September 1956, you could get between £250 and £600 to help you pay your heating bills. Check how much Winter Fuel Payment you can get from the UK Government.
Cold weather payments
If you receive Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit you will automatically receive a one-off Cold Weather Payment each time it gets very cold.

The Alzheimer’s Society runs a number of dementia services around the county, such as Dementia Cafes, Singing for the Brain, activity groups, befriending service, support groups, and more.
Age Cymru Advice
Age Cymru Advice offer free, confidential and impartial support services. They can help older people, their families, friends, carers and professionals with information and advice on matters affecting older people.
Care and Repair Cymru
Care and Repair provides information, advice and practical services that help older people in Wales stay safe, warm and well at home. Even if you think that you do not ordinarily qualify for financial support, you could now be eligible for some help with day-to-day living costs.
